Driven by a love for togetherness, laughter, and shared experiences, Pauline has always gravitated toward bold, heartfelt community projects. She happily sinks her hands into the earth and is an obsessive walker—ideally among majestic forest trees. For several years, she’s been creating jewellery and baking bread. In short, nothing deemed “essential”—and yet, entirely vital.
From the land of watches to maple syrup country, with a stop in the terroir of camembert, Sandra eventually landed in the home of fries and beer—unaware that her passion for jewellery was waiting there. A nurse by profession, her understanding of the body is rooted in respect and comfort—values she also seeks in body adornments. For her, sharing this passion is a natural continuation.

She draws inspiration from the love of her family and friends, culture, art, books, film, photographs, the sea, nature and animals —especially her adopted dogs, Xena and Lizzy. Most days, you can find Silke in the forest or the heather fields surrounding her studio. Shortly after completing her Master’s degree in jewellery, she established her own studio and organized a space for showcasing contemporary jewellery—first in Antwerp, and later internationally. In her work, Silke is driven by a search for language, aspects of life, approaching her practice in a way that goes beyond mere technique, convention, or routine. Her work is characterized by an open attitude and a desire to explore boundaries—within the field, her own practice, and in the content she develops with her students. She is currently developing her jewellery research alongside commissioned projects.
